Palau Institutional Review Board (IRB)
The Institutional Review Board (IRB) was established to review and regulate medical, scientific, and other research involving human subjects conducted within the Republic of Palau. The IRB is responsible for ensuring that all research involving human participants is conducted ethically, safely, and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Applying for IRB
Researchers seeking approval to conduct studies involving human subjects in the Republic of Palau must submit an application for IRB review and approval before initiating any research activities.
Application Process:
- Download and complete the IRB Application Form.
- Prepare all required supporting documents.
- Submit the completed application packet via email to:

- Completed IRB Application Form
- Research Protocol/Study Proposal
- Informed Consent Forms (if applicable)

- Any other documents required as stated on the IRB Application Form.
