National Coordinating Mechanism for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCM)
The National Coordinating Mechanism for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCM) is a multi-sectoral coordinating body established to lead and coordinate national efforts to prevent and control non-communicable diseases (NCDs), to promote health lifestyles, and address mental health priorities in the Republic of Palau.
The NCM brings together representatives from government agencies, civil society organizations, the private sector, faith-based organizations, and community stakeholders to support a coordinated, whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach to improving population health.
The NCM provides leadership and oversight for the implementation of the Palau NCD Strategic Plan 2025-2030, fostering collaboration, policy, development, resource mobilization, and accountability among partners working to reduce the burden of NCDs and improve mental well-being nationwide.
