The Palau Communicable Disease Unit (CDU) provides public health and clinical services to prevent, detect, investigate, and control communicable diseases, throughout Palau.
Our Services
Disease Surveillance
Monitors communicable diseases and helps identify trends and emerging public health concerns.
Case Investigation & Contact Tracing
Investigates reported cases and works with individuals and their contacts to help prevent further spread of disease.
Care & Treatment Programs
Provides care and treatment services for individuals affected by communicable diseases.
Community Education & Outreach
Provides health education and raises awareness about communicable diseases, prevention, and available services.
Free Screening & Testing
Provides free and confidential screening and testing services for a range of communicable diseases.
Disease Treatment
HIV/AIDS
We provide antiretroviral therapy (ART) to manage HIV and reduce transmission risk.
Hepatitis B & C
We provide treatment and monitoring for Hepatitis B, with evaluation and management for Hepatitis C.
Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
We provide screening, testing, and treatment for common sexually transmitted infections.
Tuberculosis (TB)
We provide combination antibiotic therapy for the treatment of tuberculosis (TB), typically for at least 6 months.
Hansen's Disease
We provide multidrug therapy (MDT) for the treatment of Hansen's disease, typically for at least 9 months.

The CDU Clinic offers an Evening Clinic on the second Tuesday of each month from
5:00pm to 8:00pm
