Financial Assistance
The Ministry of Health and Human Services provides financial assistance programs to
help eligible individuals and families meet essential needs and support the well-being of
children and persons with disabilities.
Child Raising Subsidy
Financial Assistance for eligible primary caretakers raising Palauan children under 18
$200
PER ELIGIBLE CHILD, ANNUALLY
Who can Apply?
The applicant must be the primary caretaker of a child and have had full-time custody of the child in Palau for at least six (6) of the previous twelve (12) months.
For a child born after July 31 of the previous tax year, the applicant may qualify if they have full-time custody when the application is submitted.
Required Documents
Please submit the following documents:
- Valid photo identification
- Applicant’s birth certificate
- Palau Social Security number
- Child’s birth certificate
- Child’s valid photo ID or Palau passport
- Proof of legal guardianship/primary caretaker status
- Child’s Palau Social Security number
How to Apply
Complete the Child Raising Subsidy Application and submit it with all required eligibility documents.
MHHS indicates that applications will be reviewed within 30 days. If an application is denied, the applicant must receive written notification explaining the reason for the
denial.
Important: Eligibility documents must be submitted with the application before they can be
processed.
Palau Severely Disabled Assistance Fund
Individuals interested in receiving assistance should consult their medical provider to
begin enrollment process.

(Requires 24-hour care and supervision)

Wheelchair-Bound
